# The IRONMAN Virtual Club story

Let's go back to 2020.

Even before Covid-19 hit the sport *(and the entire)* world, the IRONMAN Group wanted to **build a brand new digital experience** to engage more and more its community. 

So when physical events were all either cancelled or postponed, their need became more urgent. 

They partnered with Sport Heroes to create a digital hub** dedicated to triathletes all around the world** and based on 3 pillars:

 

- Train more and more
- Compete virtually
- Celebrate achievements with a global community of fellow athletes
